Carol Carey, aka "The Remodeling Babe" , was essential in helping us select all of our materials. A task that would have been overwhelming without her expertise. The Carey Bros. kept an open line of communication with us during the entire project. They kept us updated on everything from cost to scheduling so we always knew what to expect and when. They were open to changes & they made us feel like a priority. The job was completed in a timely manner and we are delighted with the results. We would hire them again.

We recently had our master bathroom remodeled by Carey Brothers & could not be more pleased. From the beginning with James & MacKensey to the completion with a recommendation for a shutter from Carol, we were grateful for the professional, clean, respectful, accommodating crew. Matt e-mailed us daily keeping us advised on the agenda for the following day. Everyone was on time, cleaned up completely & worked around our schedule when needed. They presented innovative ideas all while including our wishes & wants. We are delighted with the completed project & if we were to tackle another project, Carey Brothers would be our first call. She listened to what we wanted asked questions about what we liked and took pictures and measured and remeasured to check her work. She was always available to answer questions and I know she searched endlessly to find the perfect tile for our bathroom. Both James and Carol presented the bid for the job and thoroughly went through the process and presented us with a book with all of the information and plans again they settled in for a long evening of questions and reassuring us that everything was going to OK.


They introduced us to our lead contractor Eduardo who was punctual every day, friendly and a perfectionist, he was like family. He also answered my questions took time to explain things and showed me how he was doing things. When he went to lunch one of my dogs felt so comfortable with him that Sammie sat next to him in the garage. The crew cleaned up after theirselves every day and were extremely careful not to disturb or damage anything in our home. Everything was protected and covered to ensure this. On days when James was not available to come to our home to check on things he would have Eduardo send pictures and have conversations over the phone. Carol also came to the house to check on progress. I could go on and on about the positive experience that we had with this family owned company. We will hire them again when we are ready to do further renovations.

This team of experts are the salt of the earth working and living with excellence. From initial meetings with James, Janie and Matt, to the hauling away of the "Honey Bucket," the communication, inspiration and skilled workmanship of the project were almost seamlessly executed. James is smart as a whip, quick as lightening but never too busy to speak to my heart. He gave financial advice regarding the project which was pleasantly unexpected. Having Janie as my personal designer was a most luxurious and pampering experience!! WE HAD FUN!!! Girl, you rock!!!! Matt is too cute for words and skilled as heck. Kevin did us a solid. In the house, day in, day out, quietly (as much as possible) acting as an excellent representative of his company. He was unimposing, yet part of the family. I wish him the best. Always. Was it more money than we wanted to spend for a small bathroom remodel? Of course! But what we got in value, craftsmanship and relationship will last a lifetime.

We heard from James at least twice a week. If he wasn't there he would call & leave a message. He always responded immediately. The quality of workmanship exceeded our expectations. The book that he presented us with had instructions on how everything was going to go during the process, the way they were so meticulous.. they were wonderful. Carey Bros. Remodeling is a top-notch company to deal with. From start to finish, there is not one thing I can think of that I was dissatisfied with.

I contacted Carey Bros to install a barn door I'd already purchased. It was oversized and heavy. Matt immediately followed up with me to let me know he was going out of town for a week but would get back to me on his return. He did as promised. He came and looked at the project and made the appointment for install. He showed up on time. They did a beautiful job of hanging the door and it fit perfect. Very professional and I really appreciated all of the communication. It is nice to find a reliable contractor

We had the pleasure of working with James and Morris Carey for a major renovation of our back yard. From the very beginning, they were very personable and made us feel comfortable. They are knowledgeable, trustworthy, accommodating, reliable, and very creative. One of the many positive things we noticed right away was that no matter how chaotic our yard looked while they were here, they would clean up and put tools away in the evening before they left. We had several conversations and they would listen carefully. We realized that because whatever design they presented to us always contained our personal preferences. They gave us options and have a network of professionals they can recommend for special projects. By the middle of our project, we were practically finishing each other’s sentences. Whenever we spend time in our new backyard, we feel like we are on vacation somewhere special and our conversation always includes our appreciation for them and their creativeness. We have other projects in mind and plan to call them when we are ready to proceed.

I've known the Carey Brothers for over 3 years now and together we have been through 3 large projects and none larger than our most recent Kitchen and bathroom renovation. We completely gutted the kitchen and 3 of our bathrooms for this renovation. Although this should have been very stressful for the family, James and Morris and their team provided amazing support so that the project went as smooth as possible for my family. The Carey brothers found an amazing company that built and installed our custom cabinets. Workmanship was to the highest quality & standard and Carol Carey coordinated the cabinets and the Granite so that the kitchen came together in a timely manner. Carol Carey transformed our ideas we had for the bathrooms into reality and all 3 bathrooms were just simply stunning. James and Morris treat their work as though they were working on their own home. Problems that pop up are simply taken care of and in all 3 projects they never nickel and dimed me for things that inevitably come up in renovation projects. It's extremely difficult to find a company that can produce high quality workmanship on a consistent basis and with the care that is normally only given by the owners themselves, but James and Morris have surpassed my expectations every time we have worked together. I have been so fortunate to have found the Carey Brothers for all my home renovation projects and I look forward to more in the future. Carol and James Carey have handled me with such care! From the moment I spoke to Carol and explained my specific situation with my home, she allotted me the space to vent, suppress a lot of my fears as a first-time homeowner, and assured me that I was in the right hands. We hired the Carey Brothers to build a large addition (master bedroom, master bath, large walk in closet) to our 4 bedroom home which was just recently completed. It is beautiful and blends into the existing house seamlessly. Working with The Carey’s was a pleasure due to the high level of experience, design skills, work quality and integrity they bring to the project. Very satisfied and I am a Home Inspector!

We first hired the Carey Brothers in 1995 to remodel our 42 year old kitchen. Morris' wife Carol designed the new kitchen counter and cabinets. James and Morris then proceeded with the renovation in a professional manner, including cleaning up after each day's work. In May 2014, severe cracks occurred overnight in our living room ceiling and exterior stucco walls, apparently caused by drought-related earth movement. We called upon the Carey Brothers who did a thorough investigation, and who proceeded to correct the problem by installing screw jacks where needed underneath the house to level the floors. Here again the work was completed in a professional manner. We are highly pleased with their work.

I've been enjoying my new Carey Bros Kitchen for the last year. It is a pleasure to walk into the light, bright space every day, The beauty of the cherry cabinets and the granite countertops are outstanding. The extra storage space in the drawer banks and pull out cabinets make a huge difference. The under cabinet lighting makes preparation and clean up a breeze. I have the highest of praise for Carey Bros - they went above & beyond to do a thorough assessment of the problems, assuring us that all could be repaired. From scheduling work days/times to carrying out the full project, communication was consistent & reliable, and we always knew what to expect on any given day. The lead workman, Matt, was very knowledgeable, had high expectations for quality craftsmanship, and was very attentive to details. His ancillary workers were equally dedicated to doing a first rate job. Everyone was personable, polite and courteous within our home. We couldn't ask for better service or outcome. The finished product is simply beautiful. Nothing was lacking in this project - we highly recommend Carey Bros. If we ever have another need for a contractor, we'll know who to call, hands down!!! I found Carey Brothers in a Brentwood Publication. They were an answer to a pray! I had extensive damage due to an insurance claim, had an entryway/door created, faucets/toilets installed and other outside dry rot, gutter repairs, painting. All work was done in a timely and professionally and respectful manner. I felt very comfortable leaving my home while they completed projects. The attention to detail was wonderful! We enthusiastically recommend Carey Brothers Remodeling! Our remodel included two full bathrooms, a powder room and our foyer, and rebuilding our deck. We're very pleased with the results, both aesthetically and in terms of improved functionality and accessibility. They did most of the work on our job themselves and their work is excellent. The sub-contractors they brought on the job were also top-notch. I’m so short and they fixed everything in our bathroom to where it accommodated me and makes me feel much safer. The bench in our shower is my perfect height, they literally measured me and built it custom. I recommend them to family and friends all the time!

There was so much attention to detail on every aspect of the project from designing to changes here and there making sure that it fit with our preferences and even through construction our daughter was calling for their craftsman Todd and it felt like at the end we were missing family.

We engaged Carey Brothers to remodel a library like open room into a closed office with doors and internal windows in some open portals. Efficient, professional with a solid design phase. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Results matched house interior design so well it looks like it was there all along.

I think my favorite part was being made aware of all of the intricacies in the design process and learning a whole book of vocabulary and being enlightened in all the thought that goes into everything and having my eyes opened in terms of what it would be like to live in the space and helping me imagine through it. There was also a day I spent with Carol and she took me shopping and I just had my baby she was 3 weeks old and was trying to pick through different shades of white tiles. My baby was going crazy and Carol was so warm and helpful. She helped carry the baby while I could actually think and choose something that I knew would be the rest of our lives in this house together.
