Elegant and Inclusive ADA Bathroom Makeover
Brentwood, California
Scope: Mrs. Ruiz needed an accessible bathroom for her double amputee father. The toilet was relocated to allow for a wider, curbless shower. New ADA plumbing fixtures and fittings were installed for comfort, safety and efficiency. A new custom vanity allows for wheelchair access, yet still provides space for towel storage. Cultured stone with eased edges creates a clean, uncluttered look at shower walls and the vanity countertop. LED lighting installed at the ceiling and vanity improve safety. Finishing touches include a pivoting mirror at the vanity for all bath users and bath accessories in a clean contemporary design.
Features:
- Easy to operate single lever lavatory faucet and shallow sink
- Wider door for wheelchair access, custom vanity for wheelchair, and pivoting mirror
- Cultured stone countertop and shower walls for a durable and easy-to-clean finish
- Cultured stone shower walls, decorative tile shower floor, and clear glass shower screen
- Access friendly walk-in or wheelchair-accessible shower with linear drain
- Rain shower head
