Scope: A compact hall bath can still feel custom. For this guest bathroom in Danville, we reimagined the space with a brighter layout, a clean-lined vanity moment, and a seamless, full-height shower surround—delivering a refreshed, modern bath that’s durable, easy to maintain, and visually elevated. Dated cultured marble walls, inefficient lighting and ventilation, worn sheet vinyl flooring, and limited storage were replaced with a brighter, better-ventilated bath with a full-height engineered-stone surround, modern lighting, upgraded controls, new porcelain tile floor, a recessed medicine cabinet, and a cohesive palette that feels both fresh and timeless.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

Full-Height Shower Surround: The existing bathtub was retained and upgraded with a full-height Piedrafina engineered marble surround extending from the tub ledge to the ceiling. This seamless installation minimizes grout lines, improves durability, and visually enlarges the space. A recessed soap and shampoo niche was integrated for everyday convenience.

Vanity & Lighting Upgrade: A new 24-inch vanity anchors the room with clean proportions and soft-close cabinetry. The vanity wall light was relocated and centered over the sink, providing balanced task lighting and a more intentional focal point.

Comfort & Performance Improvements: Mechanical and electrical upgrades include a new low-sone Panasonic exhaust fan with a condensation sensor, a dedicated 20-amp bathroom circuit, a tamper-resistant GFCI outlet, and modern switch controls, including a vacancy sensor for energy efficiency.
