For the Love of Slate

Brentwood, California

Scope: This primary bathroom redo focused on a tight tub/shower combo stuck in the past. The mission? Spruce up the whole space without ditching their cool slate tile floor.

Features: Our designer collaborated with the client to transform the space by replacing the tub with a walk-in shower. The shower now showcases a 2×2 inch slate tile on the floor to match the existing slate flooring. Additionally, the shower features a durable, easy-to-clean, solid surface stone. A bold statement is made with a matte black shower enclosure and plumbing fixtures. In the vanity area, a complete overhaul was done, starting fresh. A new white double vanity brightens the space and includes matte black hardware, faucets, and a new countertop with under-mount sinks. To add texture, a beautiful mosaic tile accent wall behind the vanity mirror complements the shower floor tile. A new full-lite door was installed to separate the shower room from the vanity area, allowing natural light to shine through. New energy-efficient lighting, ventilation, and updated electrical components were added to ensure safety and compliance with California standards.
