Rustic Living Room Remodel

Scope: This homeowner was eager to spruce up their old-fashioned living room. They weren’t fond of the oversized fireplace and were ready to bid farewell to the carpet. We gave that fireplace the boot and revamped the layout to create more space in this commonly used room.

Features: We repositioned the fireplace from a diagonal placement to the exterior wall. This new arrangement divides the room into two separate areas – a cozy spot and a TV/entertainment area – while maintaining a cohesive feel. We used matching hardwood flooring to create a seamless look throughout the home. The fireplace is adorned with a beautiful leathered granite slab for the hearth and Quartzite estate stone on the surround; all topped off with a rustic mahogany mantel. This simple project made a significant difference for our homeowner.
