Sad to Spectacular Whole House Addition and Remodel
Oakley, California
Scope: Let’s dive into the transformation of a 1970s split-level, 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath ranch house on a 1.23-acre horse property. The property was left vacant and was abused by squatters, but the homeowners were determined to revamp the entire home and modernize the kitchen and primary bath with minimum structural changes. This project required careful planning to bring the four levels together seamlessly. The “new” home now boasts a bold tangerine entrance and features new Cali Bamboo Java eco-engineered flooring throughout. The kitchen was revamped by removing a dividing peninsula, which made way for a spacious dining island, custom cabinets, top-of-the-line appliances, and eye-catching finishes. The primary bedroom was reimagined for a more spacious layout, complete with a luxurious bath and a walk-in closet. The lower level was also given a new lease of life with updated stair railings, a brightened family room, and a reorganized laundry and powder room. The results are nothing short of impressive.
