Old Oak to a Beautiful French-Inspired Kitchen
Brentwood, California
Scope: Our client had a dream of having a French country kitchen in her lovely home, and we were able to make that happen! The first step was changing the range hood to a country-inspired style with added embellishments and a new exhaust liner. Additionally, a new upper cabinet was added at the peninsula wall with beautiful leaded glass doors. We also added larger crown molding to all the existing upper cabinets, which were refinished to a soft creamy white and then glazed. The existing paneled wood pantry door was replaced with a decorative glass door for more visual interest. The pièce de résistance for this wonderful kitchen was the addition of dramatic acanthus leaf corbels at the peninsula, along with decorative panels painted in a soft French blue and then glazed. To complete the look, we added solid surface marble-look countertops, brushed nickel plumbing fixtures, and a lovely crystal chandelier. Et voilà! We successfully transformed the kitchen into a beautiful French country style.
