Blue Glass Contemporary Bath Remodel
Antioch, California
Scope: This homeowner was on a mission to give her bathroom a major upgrade. She wanted more storage and easier shower access, but she refused to compromise on style. Aging in place? No problem, but she definitely didn’t want any boring old grab bars messing up her beautiful new bathroom. With some strategic planning, we made sure there was backing in the walls so she could add them later without wrecking her gorgeous tiles. Of course, her favorite color is blue, and she couldn’t have been more thrilled with her stunning accent tile choice. It added just the right amount of pizzazz without overwhelming the space. Classic and timeless, it’s a perfect fit for her fabulous new bathroom.
Features: The bathroom features a sleek contemporary walnut cabinet with ample counter space, complemented by a quartz countertop and a blue glass backsplash. A horizontal walnut mirror with a shelf ledge for candles adds to the modern aesthetic. The space boasts plenty of countertop space and large mirrored closet doors that visually enlarge the area. The toilet is discreetly positioned behind a half wall, and there’s a bench seat for convenient clothes and shoe changes, with abundant storage inside. The shower includes a spacious niche with blue glass on the back wall and a matching band on the side walls. Additionally, there are floating shelves with a towel bar, a handheld shower head with a slide bar, and a built-in bench for comfortable seating. The square drain is designed to complement the tile shape in the shower, and a custom frameless shower door adds to the spacious feel of the bathroom.
