Kitchen Reno on the Farm

Scope: The original kitchen for this couple was a bit closed off with two doorways, creating a square layout. But guess what? By kicking that wall to the curb (well, really just the dining room side), they’ve got a whole lot more space for entertaining with family and friends! They jazzed up the layout by moving a wall a couple of feet, opening another wall, and removing the low ceiling. Now they’ve got a snazzy freestanding island in a cool denim blue and a groovy “U” shaped kitchen with only one opening and loads more storage. Oh, and those cabinets reaching for the sky? Not only do they look fab, but they also offer extra storage for stuff you don’t need every day, freeing up the lower storage for your everyday goodies. Party time in the kitchen, anyone?

Features: The island was painted an accent color, the cabinetry was painted and features a shaker style, and quartz counters with a full backsplash and windowsill were installed. Additionally, an under-mount stainless farmhouse sink and double Lazy Susans for storage were included. Pull-out trays were available in both the pantry and the island, and the kitchen featured energy-efficient LED lighting, including recessed lighting and under-cabinet lighting strips. What a huge transformation for this cute rancher!
